Lucy McKee graduated from Southern Seminary Junior College in Buena Vista, VA and continued her education at the University of Alabama where she studied Child Development and the Education for the Exceptional Child. She and her husband, Walter, have served in many roles in the local church ranging from youth leaders to prayer coordinators to associate pastors. In 1986 they founded Grace Ministries Christian Center in Montgomery, Al where they served as senior pastors for six years. They have three sons and several grandchildren.
Well trusted in her calling, Lucy ministers in major national and international Christian teaching centers, television ministries, Bible schools, and leadership conferences. Mobilizing and helping to train prayer armies throughout the Body of Christ is one of the primary purposes of this ministry. Over the years, the Lord has continued to expand the influence of this teaching to include not only the United States but also the nations of the world. The call to lead an infusion of corporate prayer into churches is woven into everything that is done.
An effectual door of ministry has been opened to Lucy in the past few years in the nations of Europe and especially France. The commission is to help build and establish not only prayer groups but churches, to help support the pastors, and equip the Church to be a bright light in a dark continent. End time prophecies are being fulfilled every day in this land but the Church is coming alive with the teachings of walking in the Spirit and prayer so that the abundant harvest of souls will be brought in. LMM is involved in not only teaching but also financially helping the local church grow and thrive. Work, in and for Israel, is another important outreach of this ministry with annual prayer meetings, biblical study tours and support for local projects.
Lucy has a great thirst for God and an intense desire for others to know Him and His plans. Prayer is a way of life to her. Truly the harvest is plenty and the need for laborers is great. This ministry is purposed for that harvest. The book of Philippians teaches us the responsibility and the benefit of partnering with ministries that are doing the work of preaching the Gospel. In Philippians 1:7, we are taught that partners in ministry hold each other in their heart and share in the grace that is on the ministry. Verse 19 of the same chapter, Paul tells us that partner's prayers and supply of the Spirit help to preserve and propel the ministry of the gospel. Financial partnership then is shown to us in chapter 4 verses 15 through 19. The purpose is that through financial support, the ministry is able to accomplish the assignments that the Lord gives and that the partners receive fruit that increases to their account.
What an awesome opportunity to not only participate in giving, but also to receive to your account every soul that this ministry touches. It is at the heart of Lucy McKee Ministries, that every person this ministry reaches, would develop to their highest potential in the realm of the Spirit, cultivating deep fellowship with God the Father. We are going forth to the nations by the power of the Holy Spirit to mobilize, train, and equip believers to fully grasp and understand the purpose for prayer. Through your supply of the Spirit and financial support, you can become a vital part of this assignment and a partaker of the reward.
